THE LONG TIME / “CAMP”

LOCATION: Far East Austin, Texas
We moved our design and fabrication studio out here in 2012. The hope was that in addition to creating a good place to work, we could begin to host workshops and camps (and host grandparents too!). After ripping out all of the ugly tile, we immediately added a large front and back porch, a fire pit and a batting cage. We have since created a nice habitat for wild flowers and free range chickens / kids.
In 2016, the DBA team began transitioning Camp HQ into “The Long Time” event venue with the design and construction of a sandlot baseball field and multiple property upgrades including an outdoor safari bathroom, outdoor bar, shade pavilion
