  • An artist-driven, community-based public project, Drawing Lines was commissioned in response to Austin’s historic political transformation. At its core, Drawing Lines is an exploratory conversation about the dynamics of place. It’s a project about process that examines the role of contemporary culture in the transition and transformation of place.   • Resident Artist / Architect / Adventurer Spence Kellum led the charge on the large-scale mobile (kinetic sculpture) for the 2013 Trans Pecos Festival of Music and Love. Jack and his Marfa DBA campers harvested the red street sweeper brushes from the City of Marfa landfill, and Spence did the math and engineering.   • Real Ale Brewing Co. commissioned DBA to design and build a memorable bar / kiosk for their booth (amongst a sea of white pop-up tents) at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. From discarded whiskey barrel staves, Spence and Jack were able to develop a deployable geodesic-like kiosk, with circular steel bar, and locations for too many keg taps.   • Four weeks prior to the grand opening of Austin City Limits Moody Theater, Tito’s Handmade Vodka contacted us to create a light installation at the venue’s outdoor bar. The first installation is made from over 500 vodka bottles of varying sizes, all held together with a steel band and lit with LED lights.
